INHUMANS VS X-MEN #0
Writer: Charles Soule(@CharlesSoule)
Artist: Kenneth Rocafort(@Mitografia)
Color Artist: Dan Brown(danbrowncomics)
The art is absolutely brilliant and stunning. The paneling is unique, well designed, and magnificently structured. The color were strong, powerful, and precise. Most of the characterizations were pretty on point. If any of them fell short it was Dr. Henry McCoy aka Beast. His seriousness and much needed and required sense of urgency wasn't there. This is a superb preamble to the Inhumans versus X-Men event. It puts the players into place and sets up well for the impending storm as Emma Frost looks to rally allies to go up against Black Bolt.

THUNDERBOLTS #7(2016)
Writer: Jim Zub(@JimZub)
Artist: Sean Izaakse(@SeanIzaakse)
Color Artist: Matt Yackey(@MattYackey)
Nothing like a team of screw ups to instill confidence. Not the creative team which has a solid handle on the look, style, tone, and feel of these Thunderbolts. Now that the team is squared away they're in the perfect place to get Bucky out of prison except that nothing ever goes as planned. Before that though Bucky gets visited by Maria Hill and Steve(hail hydra) Rogers. The art is seamless. The characters emote impressively.

OLD MAN LOGAN #14
Writer: Jeff Lemire(@JeffLemire)
Artist: Filipe Andrade
Color Artist: Jordie Bellaire(whoajordie)
With an art change that not only works but fits well it's hard to complain as much as I want to. OG Logan is searching for Jubilee who is gone missing and is apparently a vampire, oh and she has a baby. Turns out she's in Romania so that's where Logan goes when he gets attacked by the Howling Commandos. They join up to take on Dracula. The art is perfect for this story and these characters which are also written pretty well. This book is missing something like maybe the fact that I don't care about any of them except Logan which I know will always survive.

SUPERMAN ANNUAL #1(2016)
Story- Peter J. Tomasi(@PeterJTomasi) & Patrick Gleason(@patrick_gleason)
Art- Jorge Jimenez(JorgeJimenezArt)
Colors- Alejandro Sanchez
This is an odd yet interesting story about how the old school DC Superman absorb the sun differently because he's from a different universe so he has to go through an acceptance transformation that is initiated and allowed through Swamp Thing. It doesn't really make sense and it's kind of unnecessary, non required reading but it looks phenomenal and it's intriguing. The panel design, structure, and layouts are astonishing and unique. The art is ridiculously awe inspiring.

A compilation of Christmas stories involving the Bat that mostly add up to nothing. The first story has solid art and is about resolve that can change bad to good with patience and perseverance. The second short was a little bleak with a lot of beauty. The third one did not mesh at all. For one the story was cheesy and dumb. The art looked too serious for what the writing was going for. Batman captures Harley as she was breaking into GCPD to give presents. He takes her away all the while she is being being annoying and playing Christmas music. That one was a pass for me. The next and fourth one was easily the best as it was the most interesting and cohesive story that is actually a teaser into a future villain and arc. It looked the best and was the most intriguing because of the villains. The fifth should have been switched with the fourth since it was a one and done about Scarecrow and some evil lady. She gets out of our gum hooks up with scarecrow Batman bust them up and makes a joke about it. It was kind of cool, interesting, and looked good. Personally I don't like random compilation stories especially when they mix Christmas and Batman. I just feel like the dark, seriousness of Batman and the joy of Christmas don't mesh all that well. The stories that I like the most were the darkest ones but overall this just wasn't for me.

 TOTALLY AWESOME HULK #12 CWII
Writer: Greg Pak
Artist: Mahmud Asrar
Color Artist: Nolan Woodard
The shading, colors, character look and builds are phenomenal. From the get go this book is emotionally charged and continues to get more intense as it goes on until the end where it breaks the dam to release the tears you, Clint, and Amadeus have been holding back. It's starts with Cho breaking down asking T'Challa for help to save a child from a monster that get his power STRONG emotion. Amadeus tracks this monster into the sewer. The monster explains how flawed, emotional, and easily manipulated Cho is as the Hulk. Amadeus, his sister, and Black Panther end saving the day but at a cost. This book looks amazing and is a superb read. The ending convo with Amadeus and Clint was the cherry on top of this splendid sundae of a rich read. Any comic that gets me in the feels and looks as well as this one has to be a STRONG BUY & contender for BBOW(Back 'n Bag Of the Week).
